Blue gradent mani...

Hey everyone!  I hope everyone is doing great!  I wanted to try and win the Rite Aid nail extravaganza nail art contest.  This is the mani I submitted for the contest.  You can view the other entries here.  Since there is no Rite Aid near me I would love to win this package so that I may try some of the brands I do not get where I live.  Please take a moment to vote for me if you like my design!  There are several entries that are amazing though.  When I wore this mani everyone once again thought I had on nail stickers.  On to the mani...

So what do you think??  I wanted to do a gradient so bad however didn't really have the time to do a full out gradient combining two cream colors.  So I found a way to do a super fast gradient.  I painted my base color as a cream.  By the way this Borrowed & Blue dries so fast!  I used a sheer shimmer polish and used a sponge to do a gradient and it was awesome!  I just sponged with more pressure at the tip of my nail and less pressure in the middle and it was perfect.  So you know you are about to see several gradients following this process so I can see if it actually works.  I have quite a few Pure Ice polishes that are rather thin and shimmery so I am going to try them out.

Have you tried this gradient process??  I am sure it is not a new technique.  Do you have any tips for me on my gradient technique??  Thanks for stopping by!
