I started out with two coats of China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (A very dark gray). I did a gradient using OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It. I topped the gradient off with NYC Big City Dazzle and finally a coat of Seche Vite.

This is what the gradient looked like before the stamping:I stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Silver Sweep and Shany plate 13 for the "fireworks" and fauxnad stamping plate m33 for the glass of champagne.
I really like the gradient. I like to do gradients with colors you would not normally see together. On someones nail blog I saw that you should "wet" the sponge with water before doing the gradient. I tried that for the first time with this gradient and I must say it worked a whole lot better. It was messier (hence the horrible clean up job) but was better. I will definitely continue to "wet" the sponge. How do you do your gradients?? Do you wet the sponge?
