Hello all!! I am still in disbelief that this year is coming to an end. I am hoping to keep some of my resolutions this year. I only have three. Only three right?? LOL. I want to decrease the amount of time I am just simply being lazy. I need to get up and do something (especially exercise to get some of this "baby" weight off)! I want to introduce more healthy foods in my household. Finally I want to learn to calm down. I stress so much about sometimes nothing. My hubby is so calm natured and he is amazing at bringing me down off of my cliff. I want to learn that trait from him after all these years of being with him. I finally get it. LOL.
Anyway lets see some stars...
Okay for the base on my accent nails (ring finger and thumb) I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Sequin Scandal (beautiful black with gold micro shimmer in the polish). For the pinkie, middle and index finger I used Wet n Wild Megalast in Deadly Dose. I wonder if this color stamps?? Its pretty opaque. Here is what the colors looked like without stamping...
For the accent nails I stamped with bundle monster image plate BM 05. I used China Glaze 2030 to stamp. On the other fingers I used Cheeky plate 51 and stamped using Mash black stamping polish. This is what I came up with...
What are your plans for the New Year?? Do you make resolutions?? Can you keep them past February?? I struggle with that. Haha. Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!!

Red, black and holo...
Hey all!! I hope everyone is having a good day! I had a restful day. Church was short today so baby brother and I got to take a nap today! I was so thankful for that! Daddy even got to participate which has hardly happened since we had the baby. We both have been running on fumes since baby brother was born. We are completely soaking up having a baby around! Even though it wears us out we would not want it any other way. I wanted to try and do something that could pass for a New Years Eve look blingy and cute!!. I also wanted to try another skittlettes mani. Let's see what I came up with this time...
I had so many different polishes for this mani. On my pinkie and index finger the silver is two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Celeb City and the glitter is Spoiled Shuffle the Deck. My ring finger and thumb is two coats of China Glaze With Love and the gradient is done with China Glaze Haunting (a pretty black base with micro fine silver and black glitter). The middle finger is Color Club Harp on it. Whew...that is a lot and haven't even gotten to the stamping!
For the stamping I only stamped on three nails. I chose to leave the glitter nails alone. On the holo (Color Club Harp on it and the middle finger) nail I stamped using Konad plate 77 using Mash black then added a red glequin to the middle of the design. Finally on the red and black gradient nail I stamped an image from BM 310 with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I topped off the entire mani with Seche Vite!
Let me know what you think of this?? I am still trying to get the hang of the skittlettes mani. I struggle with it because I am unsure of what is too much. I feel like its busy and doesn't look good. I am not even sure if this mani qualifies as a skittlettes mani...hmmm. Do you have tips on what I can think or do when selecting colors and designs for my skittlettes mani's?? Thanks for stopping by!! Off to play with my little man...Happy Sunday!
Tried to "blur" the picture to show the holo. |

Skittlettes Contest Entry...
Hey all! I participated in Chit Chat Nails Skittlette Contest not too long ago and thought I would share my mani here. I plan to do more of these types of mani's because I loved it! I was number 31. I did not win though :( I was so nervous to submit a mani but I want the Gals Fairy stamping plate set and have not convinced myself why I should buy MORE stamping plates. I have so many already. Anyway doing the contest prompted me to want to start my own blog so here is this miraculous design that gave me the courage.
This is called a skittlette mani. On Chit Chat Nails page this is how she defines a "skittlette" mani: "Skitt * lette : a manicure consisting of two, or three, different accent nails on each hand." For my mani I used China Glaze Pool Party (Neon Pink) as a base, China Glaze Recycle (pale grey), and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Whirlwind White. I used the newer Cheeky plates for the stamping and a dotting tool for the dots. I dotted with Pool Party and Recycle using different size dotting tools. The stamping is done with Mash black stamping polish. I dislike Konad black. It stains so bad on my skin and is so hard to clean up. :( Pretty cute I think. What do you guys think??
New Years Eve Nails...
Hey! Its getting close to the end of 2012. I can't believe how fast this year has went by. This past year has been extremely busy and full of blessings for me and my family. I graduated with my bachelors in July! I waddled across that stage big, pregnant and proud. LOL! I had another son in October. The cutest little baby since my older son who is now 8. My grandfather went home to heaven this year and in July my older brother was gone for 10 years (seems like just yesterday he was here). I am so happy for all 2012 had for me and my family good and bad! Anyway...on to the mani! I wanted to do something besides the same old black and gold or black and silver. So what did I end up doing??
I started out with two coats of China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (A very dark gray). I did a gradient using OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It. I topped the gradient off with NYC Big City Dazzle and finally a coat of Seche Vite.
I stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Silver Sweep and Shany plate 13 for the "fireworks" and fauxnad stamping plate m33 for the glass of champagne.
This is what I came up with...
I really like the gradient. I like to do gradients with colors you would not normally see together. On someones nail blog I saw that you should "wet" the sponge with water before doing the gradient. I tried that for the first time with this gradient and I must say it worked a whole lot better. It was messier (hence the horrible clean up job) but was better. I will definitely continue to "wet" the sponge. How do you do your gradients?? Do you wet the sponge?
Well baby brother (my 2 month old) is screaming and my other boys are trying to play the xbox so I will end this post. Let me know what you think of the color sceme?? Thanks for stopping in.

Christmas Ornament Nails...
Hello everyone! Finally starting my blog. I should have began this a long time ago but was not sure how to begin or what to actually write about. So here I am. I did a rather simple design for Christmas. I cooked Christmas dinner at home for my boys (hubby and two son's) and I and that made it a little difficult to get my nails done. I did my nieces nails on Christmas Eve in addition to two of my cousins nails. All of their designs turned out really cute. Next time I will post pictures of their nails as well. Any who lets see what I came up with...
For this mani I used a Mash stamping plate number 40. The base color is China Glaze Ruby Pumps and the stamping is done with Essie Penny Talk. I sealed in the design with a top coat of Seche Vite.
This design is meant to look like Christmas ornaments. Did I hit mark? Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!
